  Consciousness may be inevitable given the universe as it exists. The remarkable thing, or the mysterious thing, is that the universe exists in such as way that makes it inevitable in the first place.

  If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it does it make a sound? Same thing relatively. Consciousness is said to be the ground being. I think to 2 slit experiment and wave collapse function when making an observation, and other such experiments that prove this point to consciousness being everything.   The Borg want to establish private communications with all member's that way they eventual can keep tract of them electronically. They could send them special videos for only their eyes but will be leaked out by the non brain dead.

  This way they could effectively get rid of the whole weekly meetings thing and they just get there own JW broadcasting do your mandatory 3 times a week 90 minute viewing and your a good Jdub to go.

  When they start slimming down things and sell more and more kingdom halls this will come in very handy till the grand sell off where every thing must go sale. They got their cheap ass website with a bunch of hammy braindead followers doing make believe skits about the end of the world and how Jehovah is gonna save your ass if you stay loyal to us and send in you're pledged contribution electronically.

  Have you read Mind and Cosmos by Thomas Nagel yet? I am reading it again. What a fantastic book, surely ahead of its time.
  

  No but I read Non Local Universe about 15 years ago and was trying to understand the Bell Theorem. I should read about some more to comment though because a lot went over my head as far as the implications of some experiments. I'm a little more stable these days so I hope to review them in the future.

  If consciousness creates the whole universe, because what happens, happens only if consciousness is some how aware of it,, if no thing is aware there is no universe, waves collapse only when under observation, and let's not forget Einstein's spooky action at a distance with implication's of a non local universe.

  So to me there is probably some truth to nonduality or every thing is really just one thing and you are that one thing or nothing or non self or just pure consciousness. And I think that could be called god if one feels so inclined.

I do think that all these lawsuits due to policies of the GB the organization is ripe for a take over hostile to the currant GB arrangement, because these guys are dumb as rocks and lets not forget about delusional in their Faithful & Discreet Slave fantasy. What more true, the mind perception of the world and cosmos or or what physic's states about the reality of nature or what becomes conscious through altered states of consciousness?

  Experience Samadhi a few times how ever brief and I'm sure one would be cured of :Universal Sovereignty On Trial issues. For what it's worth I think Physics tells us reality is a hologram(from study of black holes). And I'm inclined to think a universal consciousness is everywhere and it sees through my eyes and everybody's eyes and every creatures eyes, might all just be a computer simulation, or super mind. No need to worship it just be compassionate to all sentient being.

  Karma and karmic debt on the other hand might be a real issues and forget about a trial on universal sover whatever.
